Scholars of the University of Padua were the first to study the therapeutic capabilities of the Euganeans Spa in the Renaissance.
With further study, there was the opportunity to discover the origins of the layers of thermal waters in the subsoil of the whole basin euganeo: they come from rainfall in the Lessini Mountains, in the foothills above Verona and come to the Euganean area after a journey of about underground 100 kilometers in a period estimated to be between 25 and 30 years, during which the water is enriched with mineral salts (including sodium, potassium, magnesium, iodine, and silicon), and arrive at a temperature of 87 degrees before starting ascent towards the surface.
